Porto Seguro Institute

Technology for the education of underprivileged children

Context

The Instituto Porto Seguro is a non-profit organization of Porto Seguro focused on social activities. Their main project is Ação Educa, aimed at educating underprivileged children from 6 to 15 years old in the Campos Elíseos region of São Paulo, Brazil.

We were called to develop the donation and crowdfunding platform of the Porto Seguro Institute.

The challenge in this project was to create an internal platform for Porto Seguro, where the Institute would receive donations with credit card payments, bank slips, and payroll discounts.

In addition, we had to contemplate crowdfunding projects such as the purchase of sneakers for the Institute’s children, among others.

Goal

Foster the institute’s projects with revenue generated by the online platform

I did an analysis of the current journey of the types of users (employees, consultants, brokers) to understand the processes of different types of donation

I did interviews with potential users of the platform in order to understand what's the easiest way for a user to make a donation would be.

We evaluate references from other donation platforms, using contextual criteria for comparison and understanding what we could add and improve.
